Altar Guild

St. James Altar Guild is a group of women and men who are called to serve God by offering their time and talents preparing and tending our worship space.  It is a ministry of love undertaken in the name of Christ. Our guild exists to assist the clergy.  Our duties include maintaining all vessels, linens, vestments, altar hangings, and supplies necessary for the preparation of worship services.  Members care for all artifacts owned by our parish.

Pastoral Care Team

The Pastoral Care Team assists and supports the priest in charge in identifying and providing the pastoral care needs of the parishioners.  The Pastoral Care Team acknowledges the centrality of the sacraments in our life as Christians. Therefore a primary function of the Pastoral Care Team will be assuring that those parishioners (who for any reason, temporary or permanent) are unable to attend service will have a regular opportunity to share and receive Holy Communion in their home. Home communion will be available once a month and also at the discretion of the priest in charge.  The Pastoral Care Team is privileged to serve in this special ministry and remains committed to sharing God’s love with all.

Prayer Chain

The Prayer Chain is composed of a group of individuals who are committed to prayer; who believe in the power of prayer and are willing to interrupt what they are doing in order to hear and pray for the needs of others. Often the need is immediate such as sudden illness or surgery, or difficult personal situations.
